The required samples for testing depend on the type of test. 
 
Prenatal tests 
Prenatal tests require biological samples taken from the fetus during pregnancy. The tests that can be performed on this sample are QF-PCR, cytogenetics, complete prenatal test, prenatal paternity testing and tests for cytomegalovirus and toxoplasma. 
 
Sexually transmitted diseases 
These tests require samples from which we can detect pathogens that cause sexually transmitted diseases and other diseases (HPV, mycoplasma, chlamydia, ureaplasma, gardnerella). 
 
Genetic predispositions 
Samples are used to determine the karyotype of adults or diagnose a genetic predisposition to deep vein thrombosis or mutations that cause cystic fibrosis. 
 
Paternity 
In addition to the sample from the child, for prenatal paternity testing we also require a sample from the potential father (buccal swabs, nails, hair, etc..).
